I thought that this book was fairly effective in covering the majority of the material that it did. It would help, a fair amount, to know normal physiology before taking this class. It's not required, however. They will break down normal physiology down far enough for the clinical models used at the end of the chapters. Knowledge is consolidated fairly well. Information concerning treatments can sometimes be a little lacking, but should probably be expected. That would probably fall under more advanced classes or pharmacology.By MLO
I am using this book as a supplemental resource for the Family Nurse Practitioner Program I am in. It has really helped to improve my tests scores. It gives a different approach to the subject matter than what is presented in the traditional textbooks. I would definitely recommend it!By DIANANILAND
