I'm an instructor having taught Human Growth and Development for 6 years. Our school switched to this book this fall. I found the text hard to read and important theory is lost among endless research references. My nursing students have to reorganize notations in order to prep for the NCLEx with this book. Powerpoints did not highlight theoritical information.By Louise E. Mullins
Test bank is cumbersome -- comes in a pdf which is useless if you're trying to create a test for use within you school's online environment. I had to purchase the Adobe pdf converter to create a word document. With no test generator included for instructors, I had to resort to "CUT AND PASTE" to produce a paper exam. You might wonder who uses paper exams -- a lot of colleges do.
The mydevelopment lab comes with an ebook and interactive virtual child, which was a fun tool, but students had a HORRIBLE time logging in and enrolling. NOTE: When a person must "click" 3+ times to get where they want to go--they won't use the product.
Has everything you could need to know even at the graduate level, but its a waste of money. Save some money just by the E-book, or pearson my lab code which comes with it.By Paul
