Overall, this is a good study guide. If you prefer a lot of practice questions, you may want to find another study resource to accompany this. It has a lot of helpful review info for biology and chemistry, even if it's been a while since you've taken those subjects. It doesn't have as much math review as is preferable, but does a good job of reacquainting you with fundamentals you may be rusty with.By Colleen
This guide also provides useful strategies for taking the test and preparing for the reading comprehension, writing, and verbal ability sections. The diagnostic test in the beginning helps you figure out what you need to work on most.
When studying you'd want to focus on microbiology more than is in this study guide, as well. Otherwise, this guide packs in a lot of info without unnecessary details.
I recommend investing in a new copy of this book because you get access to a free online practice test, which is very helpful for preparing before the test. It familiarizes you with the computerized and timed format and is similar in difficulty to the real test.
Amazon offers a good deal too, the price inside the cover says $44.99. It's worth it.
I purchased this book in the early summer and leafed through it before taking the PCAT in July. I didn't even get a chance to take the full-sized practice test but the chapters covered direct material on the PCAT, and I even noticed two questions were almost directly pulled from the book! I didn't study too much but I definitely wouldn't have done as well on the PCAT as I did if i hadn't bought this book. Well worth the money!!By Kristin Arbutina
When studying any subject for any exam, it is necessary to mind the basics. Because if the basics are not clear then you won’t be able to understand the advance topics. I need to qualify the LSAT and this is why would like to start study from scratch so need suggestions for a good LSAT online course. Can you help regarding it?
