Before you choose this book for your advanced practice nursing students, just know that the book is large, written in fine print, and full of verbiage. If you feel that your students need to learn about culturally responsive care, ethics in health care, professional integrity in primary care, or how to translate research into practice, this might be the book you are looking for. IN reality, most nursing degree programs require classes in research, ethics, leadership and role development. Too much time is spent on these topics in this book. What could be said in a few words becomes paragraph after paragraph and chapter after chapter. It is certainly NOT a book they will want to keep as a reference text unless they have hours to spend looking for something they don't already know. Just hold on to old ethics text, a research text, a role development textbook, and a leadership book. Most of them cover what this book covers with much less effort. The authors of this book seem to be trying to make much to do about something or everything.By Piechals
