This should be a required text for everyone in medicine as well as for anyone who reviews medical articles. As a scientist, I am often dismayed at the poor quality of many of the studies conducted and even more dismayed when a study of poor quality is picked up by the popular press and reported as gospel. Equally disconcerting is when the results of a study are misinterpreted or mis-reported in reviews. I would highly recommend this reference to anyone who regularly reads anything in the medical literature.

The content is a bit uneven, though overall is of very high quality. I just finished re-reading it on my Kindle. For those of you interested in the Kindle version be aware that much of the "boxed" content does not flow i.e. the pagination is poor. I blame the editors for this porr transcription from print to Kindle.
