Some of the chapters are definitely better than the previous edition, but overall you probably should read both. They tend to short change one area of treatment in one edition and then delve deeply in the next. Using this method to keep the book size small. Many areas are repetitive as different authors are used in similar areas and approach the information in different ways. Altogether it is my favorite go to for general surgery.By kibwe
