My professors recommended this pocket guide as an accompaniment to the full Bates textbook. As someone who realistically is not going to read textbooks word for word (every semester I try but it never happens), I am glad to have this quick reference copy that simplifies and relates assessment findings concisely. It fits well within my lab coat pocket, my clinical bag, my purse, and I bring it with me to even study on the trolley or before exams.
I'm glad I purchased this, though it was expensive and not required for my Family Nurse Practitioner classes.

I am a NP student. I have started to carry this with me, and make notes of my own in it. I highly recommend as an additional to the Bates physical exam book. My only complaint is that I wish the chapters had different colored edges to help with combing through it. I have just put my own page tabs on to help find info quickly. The pictures in it are great. Easy to use charts. Very handy.
