This book is a very thorough dialog on veterinary terminology. Be advised that after reading this book you will DEFINITELY be able to determine what your veterinarian is talking about when he doesn't use layman terms (in other words, you will definitely learn a lot from this book). The book itself is not intimidating and it does have some very good ways of learning the information. However, it does get very technical, so you might want to forgo it if you're not up to studying.By A Customer
I am in my first year in a Veterinary Technician program. Although I also work in an animal hospital, there were still many terms I had never even heard before! This book has an excellent way of breaking down each word--by root word, prefixes, and suffixes. It is such an easy way to learn the terms and comprehend their true meanings. Each chapter has its own self-tests (and answers) to further your understanding of the vocabulary. There is also a section in the back of the book that includes general information of every system in the cat/dog/horse. I loved this section when reviewing for quizzes and exams!By "sewynn1179"
