Kaplan's review book is a solid start to review for the PCAT, but personally I don't think it's enough.

First of all, I think the book is rather hard to get through personally. The material is extremely condensed, and wading through the biology reading was extremely difficult.

Secondly, I think this book does come up short in some aspects. For example, the mathematics review is an extremely short 66 pages (including the review problems). Just for comparison, the chemistry section is a massive 431 pages...The Writing help is extremely short (something on the order of 10 pages) as is the reading comprehension. Now I would imagine that the biology/chemistry sections are the most important, and this book does do a good job covering them. But outside of those two sections, this book is pretty lacking.

Also be aware that within this book, there are NO practice tests; rather there are short diagnostic tests, and then a link to an online Kaplan test.

I think the best prep tool (in addition to this book) is purchasing the PCAT study guide directly from Pearson (the group that administers the test). It's a bit pricey at $25 for a ~150 page PDF file, but it's the 'official study guide' and it gives you an insight into what questions will really be asked on the exam (the mathematics examples in Pearson's guide opened up my eyes that there is much more math on the PCAT exam than Kaplan covers; i.e. knowing standard deviation via T-value equations [this is not covered at all in Kaplan's book, but is featured in the official study guide for the exam]).

I also **highly recommend** you purchase the practice tests from Pearson as well. Again, no one knows the material that will be on the PCAT better than Pearson, the people who create the test.
