I use this all the time as part of my clinical pathology residency-it's much more readable than most of the other texts because it links the pathophysiology to the observed electrolyte imbalance very clearly. The only problem is that it does stick to the subjects in the title-so some other critical care topics (e.g. bleeding disorders) aren't included...but it's well worth the price for the topics covered. Ideal for vets, vet students and residents with an interest in critical care, anaesthesia or medicine-but maybe not applied enough for most nurses or vet techs.By saluki
This book is well written and well done. Excellent reference, can help make a lot of difference in patient care. I wish Dr. DiBartola would get more involved with large animal fluid therapy.By MasterHoyt
