The new form of the Fonseca set is better with it all put in 3 volumes, and it looks great. I find it to be a good general reference and study tool but it lacks some depth that you would get from books dedicated to each of the topics. I wouldn't expect this to be the only book an oral surgeon needs, although by a look at the topics it may appear so, but it is a good addition to your library. My thanks go to the authors for continuing to put out such great texts.By Brandon
This 3-volume oral and maxillofacial surgery covers the field of oral, implant, trauma, orthognathic, esthetic and cleft and craniofacial surgery. A separate section (Vol.II, section II), deals with surgical pathology and second one with TMJ disorders. A separate colour atlas at the end of every volume is included. This, more than 3000 pages, book is a comprehensive reference to a wide field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. A CD-ROM is missing, otherwise a very important tool for the trainee and the specialist as well.By olytteas omfs
