This is one of a few well written books on Telemedicine Technologies. Although it doesn't quite delve into the historical aspects of Telemedicine, it does provide a detailed analysis on the various critical aspects of this growing field of telecommunication technology. I would highly reccommend this to anyone seeking information about Telemedicine.
