Love this book- I consider this the best spine injection book currently on the market. I have the Kindle edition, which I use of my IPadBy G. P. Chimes
Strengths:
- lots of illustrations
- unique amongst books on the market are pictures of sub-optimal images, so that you know what NOT to do, in addition to what to do
- written from the perspective of "what would the injectionist want to know"- too many books are written from perspective of a collection of random thoughts, and not focused enough
- even though there are different authors for chapters, the book reads like it has a consistent voice
- lots of clinical pearls to help learn nuances for each procedure
This atlas has been the only useful guide available to lead me in my quest to perform intraspinal injections in a safer and more effective manner. It clearly and concisely describes the use of the contralateral oblique view in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine for a variety of injections. As a result of this atlas I have changed the way that I perform at least a half dozen procedures that I have been performing for 20 years. In fact, I find this atlas so useful that that have the kindle version that I can access via the Kindle cloud from my office, surgery center and smartphone. Since I started in this field twenty years ago I have been a collector of sorts of textbooks and atlases. I have accumulated at least twenty atlases and I find this one to contain the most reliable, useful information. I congratulate Dr. Furman in what he has accomplished. I only wish that it had been available as a teaching tool back in the 1990's when I founded and directed a fellowship program at a majority university medical center.By Richard Siegfried
