If you enjoy the class, it's a great book. If you don't, it's a terrible book. I find the subject interesting, so for me, it's a great book.

This book is very well done. In contrast to other edited books that are similar, this one is written and edited by people who know their stuff. It is nice to see new writers, new perspectives, and things that challenge your thinking - instead of a compilation of chapters by friends and folks who may be a little "out of touch" with the complexities of contemporary practice. If you want a comprehensive, interdisciplinary text that brings health IT right into your hands, this is it. If you aren't interested in learning Health IT, that frightens me. Understanding and managing this stuff is key to competent practice - and this book can help you to get there.
