I am a radiology R3 prepping for the June CORE exam. Was hoping for a very direct succinct book covering the nitty gritty. FIRST AID for the Core. This is not that book. It is certainly readable (but superficial). Not a bad choice for a first year resident prepping for the inservice. Just doesnt seem to have the gravitas we need here.By Los Libros
Finally a legitimate replacement for the Primer (which has not seen much advancement over its previous two editions). Core Radiology is just that, a well-designed basic textbook covering general radiology. I think it remains to be seen if it provides a good study guide for the core radiology exam (since nobody knows what that ridiculous exam covers including the ABR), but it certainly provides a healthy starting point for new and even some seasoned residents at the beginning of their new subspecialty rotations. Easy to follow diagrams and clear images make this a worthy competitor (and I would argue replacement) to the "tired" appearing Brant and Helms and Primer.By radsresident
